While staying at her recovering husband's bedside, Marilyn discovers that Stan has been having a somewhat-serious affair with a very young office temp. Marilyn knew Stan was having sex with other women, but she never thought he was having a relationship with one of them. She is devastated to hear the news especially since she's given up pretty much everything in the past three years to take care of him. Stan's office temp, 20-year-old Lindsay Herman, drops by the hospital saying she is there to give bone marrow. Doctors and interns also take care of 50-year-old Bruce Walling, a wealthy businessman, who is accompanied by his 23-year-old son PJ. Father and son have a strained relationship.
