Music & Grey's Anatomy! Video Premiere: Kate Havnevik, 'Unlike Me' - Posted Oct 24th 2007 Norwegian songtress Kate Havnevik is best known her enchanting vocals and work with Royksopp. Her haunting ballad, 'Unlike Me,' was featured in last year's season of 'Grey's Anatomy,' and just got a proper video. Directed by Drew Lightfoot, the clip finds Havnevik taking to the water where she has an odd encounter with an alter-ego before descending into the abyss. Watch the video http://www.spinner.com/2007/10/24/video-pr...evik-unlike-me/ Track of the day - Keren Ann - April 26, 2007 Israel-born chanteuse Keren Ann has been a well-kept secret until now. She's had tracks featured on US TV dramas such as Six Feet Under and Grey's Anatomy, and even collaborated with Guy Chambers (of Robbie Williams songwriting fame), but still remained below the mainstream radar. Her self-titled fifth album, out May 8, should change that. It's a delicate, subtle affair that would sit neatly alongside Norah Jones and Madeleine Peyroux in anyone's 'after hours' playlist. One of our favourite tracks is In Your Back, which we've streamed exclusively for you here. http://news.q4music.com/2007/04/track_of_t..._keren_ann.html Grey's Anatomy: Quotes and Music -April 22, 2007 It was a night of surprises and of moments a long time coming on Grey's Anatomy's "Time After Time" episode on Thursday. Izzy has a kid and Cristina might not be meant to be with Another thing that was a long time coming was the inclusion of more Maria Taylor tunes and we had two in this one episode. The night featured songs by the following artists: Amy Winehouse "You Know I'm No Good," The Whitest Boy Alive "Burning," Nouvelle Vague "Dancing With Myself," Maria Taylor "Clean Getaway," Lullaby Baxter "Fontana Fontaine" and Maria Taylor "A Good Start." The episode also featured my favorite mix of funny and insightful quotes and I've listed my Top 10 below:....... (link below for complete article ) http://www.buddytv.com/articles/greys-anat...music-5926.aspx The Grey's Anatomy effect - April 18, 2007 Time was when getting on the playlist of a major radio station was the dream of every up and coming band. Now it seems TV soundtracks have become a far more crucial platform in reaching a mass audience. Famously, Snow Patrol broke America almost overnight when their song Chasing Cars was played during a climatic, emotive scene of hit hospital.... Ever consider acting? Swift: I would love to, as long as it didn't take away from my singing career. I'd love to be on CSI or Grey's Anatomy! Those are my top two favorite shows. http://www.tvguide.com/News-Views/Intervie...ng={E92FE647-22 Snow Patrol’s Nathan Connolly on Music, Touring, and Grey’s Anatomy - April 5th 2007 And he certainly should! The guitarist sat down for an interview, which is worth reading if you’re a Snow Patrol fan. And even if you’re just a Grey’s fan.(Read rest of the interview below) http://greysanatomynews.com/2007/04/05/sno...-greys-anatomy/ 'Anatomy' of a hit song: TV can still channel sales of music - Thursday, March 29th 2007, 4:00 AM Turns out "Grey's Anatomy" has been selling us more than fantasies about the love lives of medical professionals. It has been selling a whole lot of popular music. How much? This much: It has spawned its own record label.Well, "Grey's" didn't do that all (partial article) http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/t...till_chann.html I thought this might come in handy for someone....I found it in my wanderings. http://www.youtube.com/user/MusicOnGreysAnatomy |
