flipflopmom ---- May 06 @ 10:22 AM So, I guess this is my official take on what I think is going to happen in the next 2 episodes. There is rambling and ranting…and loads of misspellings and even a few punctuation missing. J I remember not knowing or really having a clue as to what was going to happen last season. I didn’t predict prom sex last year…I just didn’t know. Furthermore, all the speculating in the world could not have prepared me for Denny dying. I sobbed. I have been searching the history and you need to go back and read these, http://www.greyswriters.com/2006/05/index.html Its almost as if they have just changed the characters names…for example the elevator scene in 17 Seconds with MerDer…it was the opposite of the Gizzie scene last Thursday. The story is different in that the characters are different. For example, last year I was indifferent and didn’t feel too bad for Addison when MerDer had promsex. I feel for Callie b/c I see that she truly loves George. I can see George, like Derek really struggling….not so much because he feels duty and responsibility but because he really LOVES 2 women. I like George and Izzie. I was turned off at first but every episode since their sex has revealed to me that perhaps I was wrong. That they could be a couple. I predicted “prom sex” only it will be “wedding sex” and in a coat closet not an exam room and it will be Gizzie not MerDer. I also said that I thought Mer’s loyalties would come into question when she catches George and Izzie. I think Adele is going to have a heart attack. Richard will either retire or take a leave of absence to take care of his wife. And name an interim Chief/Chief. Derek. We will discover that Bailey has let her work interfere with her family life. There has to be a reason why we haven’t heard hide nor hair of Tucker or Baby Will since Episode 8 Staring at the Sun, right? Alex is discovering who he is and what he wants. Ave may in fact remember who she is and doesn’t like herself. And this will force Alex to look into what shapes him., in life and at work. I think his specialty may be Plastics…because him having to work under Mark and Mark thinking Addison is leaving because of something Alex did, well, that’ll be great to watch. We got a glimpse of that last eppy. I think Addison will have more sex with Alex and create more tension for Mark and Alex. Addison is outta there, I think the spin-off will be a great hit…I enjoyed it. If only one couple breaks up it will be Burke and Chris. He will leave her standing. They will eat cake, and Mark and Chris will have sex…how do you like that? LOL! Is Susan this Seasons Doc…a painfully necessary catalyst to illustrate the ending MerDer…we all know that didn’t work last season and will surely fail this season. I am holding onto hope that Meredith will give Derek her version of the exam room “sick to my stomach” speech. Not that there will be another woman…I don’t think there will be. We don’t need a “Finn-ette”, LOL! For Derek it was seeing Mer with Finn that snapped him out of his unhappy haze with Addison. What will cause Meredith to snap? I am not sure. In fact I don’t know what will happen…You can take the blog blurbs (below) 2 ways, either they are trying hard to scare us or there really will be a temporary ending to Derek and Meredith. I think there are only 2 ways to fix this. Either he is hurt in some way or they get married. :) And Meredith…well, Meredith is losing another mother. Worse, she’s losing her father. And even worse than that, she may be losing Derek. She’s his ***** Fish. Does he want to get rid of his ***** Fish? That’s impossible, right? It’s Meredith and Derek. It’s just a bump in the road. Or is it? Well, all I can say for now is stay tuned… Where we are going might make you shake your fists to the heavens and scream. But we are leaping. So, if your sofa is comfy, maybe you could lie back down and leap with us? The Mer Cliffhanger? It needs to be something BIG. I predict a PROPOSAL…and the cliff we’ll be hanging on all summer will be Meredith’s answer.........Or she'll "pull her balls out of her back pocket" and give him hell.... "What the hell is wrong with you? I am here and ready and willing to commit fully to you and you...you keep pushing me away. LOOK AT ME. I am communicating. I am really trying here to be happy...I want us to be happy...together. We can breathe together. I want you. I love you." Maybe? The only thing I didnt touch on is who will fail the test...because I can't figure it out...it would make sense if it were George, Izzie, or Chris. All of them are preoccupied.. Yah its not Christina...she would never fail and it wouldnt fit the character at all. They did make a big deal of out the cards so considering it was Izzie who was very anit-cards I could def see that as well. Terri I agree with you that Alex and Addison wont happen again. Mark is ready to "lay him out" after one time. I think Mark will play a critical role in Meredith and Derek's relationship. I dont know what he'll say or which one he'll talk to but I really really think it'll be him who makes everything better. ...but everything Christina has done leading un tp this point has been out of character......I too would love to see Mark step up and correct Derek...do for Derek what Mer just did for Mark......this was supposed to be in reply to Terri's post...forgot to click...I can see the Chris Mark hook up as revenge sex...for both of them...they'll thank each other and move on...LOL! Unless he is foolish enough to think he can be happy with someone that is compromising herself to be with him. I think way back when Mama said that Christina was not right...Preston is a traditional man, blah, blah , blah...Christina took that as a challenge...she is going to prove Mama wrong...It is Christinas nature to look at everything as a competetion...I think she loves Preston but not like he think she loves him...does that make sense? So, I don't think they'll do the vows...I think they'll have the cake...maybe he wont leave her...maybe they'll just party with their friends at the reception?!? |

craizydaizy3 ---- May 06 @ 11:11 AM The only thing I didnt touch on is who will fail the test...because I can't figure it out...it would make sense if it were George, Izzie, or Chris. All of them are preoccupied... Well it'll be interesting to see how hard the writers are set on "kicking" Meredith because I could see it being her. Everyones been talking about the questioning of loyalities possibly being between Derek and Christina(or something like that) but what about questioning her loyalities to her career if she fails this test?(I may have said this before...I cant remember) I know this is probaly stretch but just throwing all possibilities out there I hope Alex doesnt fail...that'll make me sad. Also if he swicthes to ob.gyn and Addison moves are they going to try to replace Addison? I don't think its Cristina simply because her Karma will come at the wedding. (To fail) If Callie's cards have something to do with it, then it would be someone who wasn't using them or rejected them as unimportant - Izzie or (most likely) George. oncetherewasaway ---- Posted: May 06 @ 11:22 AM Amy.....love the dissertation!..... If I may I will agree or disagree *straps on thinking cap* I don't see Addison and Alex hooking up again. Once was enough for them and more than enough for Mark to give Alex all kinds of sh!t ....... Mark will only back off when Mer says something like "People who live in glass houses....." ITA Burke will leave Cris standing at the altar after which Cris rushes back to SGH to get in on the next killer surgery. She is a surgeon....not a bride (last ep) and a woman not defined by any man.......soooooo not having sex with manwh0re. Mark and Izzie will be later S4 after Mark makes some personal growth ......how do you like that! Susan is this seasons doc..... to illustrate the past is now just that. The past......a slap in the face to have Mer move on with her future as was doc to shove Derek and Mer back to each other. Amy.....love "Finn-ette" :^O ....... I don't think she will even be a blip on the radar, Mer will come into bar and that will be the joint to get her to thinking and we get the "Wrath of Grey" come down on Derek. Meredith will use her words and it won't be pretty but Derek will survive ........ when he realizes she came back for him! Mer will give him what for ....I think this will happen next ep (24) and then avoidance the majority of ep 25 until after the 'runaway groom' and then there will be a proposal and or marriage. ( SaF 3.3 "sometimes we're sure if we try hard enough-- we can live the dream") Best sequence of events imaginable ;) Absolutely ITA, Mer = Derek's ***** Fish......he can't breathe without his ***** fish, he can't think without his ***** fish, hell he can't fish without his ***** fish. I am holding on ..... the bumps and potholes that Shonda will throw at us. I am leaping.....silly as it may be. The cliffhanger is just a bit different than Amy's prediction. I think they do agree to get married and we see them taking vows right up until the 'I do's'...... That's my story and I'm sticking to it :D |

DutchMerDerfan ---- May 06 @ 11:31 AM Meredith walking in on Gizzie good for the loyalty question. Yuck to watch.. ... Totally see Cris scrubbing in after being left.. She is a surgeon not a wife. She made that clear to Burke's Mom earlier this season. Izzie and Mark can see that happening as the new love couple... Addison leaving, Mark growing after this, mendinghis friendship with Derek... He is in for the next phase of his life.. and there's chemistry between Izzie and Mark.. She doesn't take his crap and stands up to him.. Means there is a chance for Callie/George... Posted: May 10 @ 05:32 AM by: DutchMerDerfan (1120 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Feb 21, 2007 Ok maybe a longshot. But another theory. This one based on the dresses they wear. Izzie, brown topless dress. So to speak. Leaves her heart unprotected. Out in the open. Callie, brown in between covered dress, leaves her heart partly unprotected. Partly out in the open. Mer, brown totally closed on top, leaves her heart totally protected. Not out in the open. IMO this could stand for the fact that George will break things up with Izzie. Which will leave her heart out in the open, not protected, broken. George will give it a fair try with Callie, but since it's a try and not a completely commitment. It will leave her heart partly in the open. A little broken. (Gizzie is out) Mer her heart is completely protected, meaning it's not out in the open. It's already given away. So Mer/Der will be fine. Her heart is safe. So won't be broken. Posted: May 06 @ 10:40 AM by: DutchMerDerfan (937 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Feb 21, 2007 Wow Miss Amy has been thinking A LOT. :) And I like. I've been having a feeling of late the Der is going to be hurt only to put him back in his place and to jar Meredith so that she can see that she doesn't have to lose everybody. Crappy way of showing it but I do think it will be the only way. Wow.. If they are gonna give us another Mer/Der cliff.. It has to be a proposal.. But I am still thinking that Mer will be the one to propose... Unlike the relationship between Burktina, where Burke is the tradiotonal guy and feels he needs to lead every step and therefore have been the one to propose. I think Mer/Der relationship is more about the love, the feeling, the spur of the moment etc... If they let Mer do the chasing and the speech this time... It might go like this; I know I have intimacy issues but when I died I came back for you, because I know a whiff of you isn't enough for me. I want you, I need you, I love you and I want to spent the rest of my life with you.. Derek will you marry me ? Feel better now, daydreaming helps :) I can also totally see that they let Derek say something along these lines;have you any idea how I felt pulling you out of the water. Actually losing you and not been able to do anything about. And you shutting me out afterwards. Have you? All I ever wanted is you and be happy with you..........and that she grabs him after this and kisses him and instead of what does this mean... Will you marry me The only thing I didnt touch on is who will fail the test...because I can't figure it out...it would make sense if it were George, Izzie, or Chris. All of them are preoccupied... It might be Alex. I know they let him fail earlier for an exam and that's why we think she wouldn't go there again.. But I think she might. And letting Alex fail and not let him repeat his internship they can switch him to a "lighter" rotation. He can switch to OB/GYN... because I assume this test is for the surgical internship..... If any of the other fails. They need to leave the programm and I don't see any of them switching to another rotation. So they have to leave SGH.....George failing and leaving for Mercy West doesn't seem an option to me. I don't know how they want to let this work scriptwise. They have to switch between hospitals and I don't see that happening for practical reasons.. So my choice Alex Predictions on GA last two epi’s: I am still not sure Derek really left. I know they want us to believe he left. We see him walking towards the window, but at that point he already walked by the front door. So when we see him walking away he has to walk by the front door. We don’t actually see that happen, just him walking away from the window. So call me ignorant, but I still think he enters the house. But he doesn’t go into the living room. He heads straight up. After Mer , Izzie and Alex are done drinking she will go upstairs and find Derek sleeping in her bed. The next morning there will be no time for talking, but Mer thinks everything is alright because Derek was sleeping in her bed. She yelled, he showed. Derek on the other hand is frustrated. The next day will also be the day of the bridal shower and bachelor party so there won’t be much time for them to talk. While the girls are having fun at Mer’s house, the boys go to Joe’s. There will be some alcohol involved and when this girl is so obviously interested in him, he will accept her drink (don’t throw anything at me), but he won’t be flirtatious. He just enjoys the company. Then Mer and the girls enter Joe. She sees Derek at the bar with this woman, enjoying himself and gets jealous. She will go over to him, pick a fight. Something to do with him not giving up on her and yet here he is drinking and enjoying himself with another woman. Mer runs off again, leaving Derek . Derek explains the bargirl that Mer is his girlfriend and leaves. Mer is already gone. So Derek goes to Mer’s place. There they will have a huge argument. And all the things build up inside will come out. Ok now I have to think about how to go on from there.. Posted: May 09 @ 06:22 AM by: DutchMerDerfan (1077 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Feb 21, 2007 Predictions on the ending; The last scenes will be; George telling his decision to Izzie; by this time we won’t know what he outcome is between his talk with Callie; Meredith asking Der to marry her; Burke leaving Cris at the altar Posted: May 09 @ 06:40 AM by: DutchMerDerfan (1077 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Feb 21, 2007 Predictions on Mer/Der continued; The end of the argument will be that Derek says to Meredith that she needs to give him proof of her wanting to let him in. So there will be no make up s ex. Derek will leave to the trailer for the night so they both can cool off and gives her time to think about it. At the day off the wedding they will spent some time together, laughing etc, but still no time to talk about it further. Then as a shock to all Burke will leave Cristina at the altar. Cristina will break down. She will go to Cristina to comfort her, but also realizing that she loves Derek so much she doesn’t want him to walk away. So she hands over the care of Cristina to Callie/her mom whom ever and go see Derek to talk. Derek has at this point left the church to check on Burke, being his best man. Outside the church she finds Derek alone and then she gives this heartfelt speech everbody is talking about. She tells him that she came back for him and that a whiff of him ain’t enough for her. And than she asks him to marry her… The End It will makes full circle for this season. What if they had the talk and she needs to show him she will let him in and they agreed she will meet him at Joe's. So while he waits he talks to the bargirl. Mer comes in and she just walks up to him and he says Finally here you are and they leave together. Then you have two things coming to an end. Not just the boy and girl anymore and the waiting Mer did for him and now he does for her. Message was edited by: DutchMerDerfan |

greysgirl111 ---- May 08 @ 07:46 PM Hey what about me??? I said Derek was gonna get hurt weeks ago with you......the car hitting him to inflict just enough damage to unscramble his brain some :o ...... so yeah I am on the 'hurt Derek team' (I cannot believe I wrote that!) (Answering this from a bit earlier....good evening ladies....) Hey Terri...me too! The hurt Derek club....remember, we were 'holding hands' :) Oh wait, the holding hands part was back in February when we were giving him amnesia...:^O I had said that Der gets in an accident and Burke has to leave the wedding to operate..Sounded a bit crazy at the time....but not so much now....?:| Mer did say she was a girlfriend with a "GPS" And Christina asked if there was a "car wreck...." adding to my prior post... Burke will leave Christina physically (at the altar) just like Christina left Burke emotionally last year.... Der being on the outside of the window looking in....very poignant as to where his story is going (from the blog) Der may be the patient from the sides that can hear and understand everything going on around him but doctors can't understand a word he is saying..... Now, Stunt people hired according to ABC.... Yep, I'm sticking with the possibility of an injured Derek, but not necessarily the probability. |

Gibraltariana ---- Posted: May 07 @ 09:04 AM Okay, here's my ideas for cliffhangers, and its based on the idea that all of these men think that they're the ones making the decisions. What happens if the decisions are suddenly taken out of their hands? 1) Meredith tells Derek that she's fine, and he needs to accept her as she is. Maybe not always easy, but does easy always equal happiness? N to the O. Derek has given her plenty of challenges -so he runs when she suddenly needs him? 2) Cristina reminds him of how she accepted the proposal. She is not going to change, and he shouldn't expect her to. If he's looking for a traditional wife, he has to look elsewhere. 3) Now, as far as George/Callie, Callie ran once when she said he was bending her legs in ways her legs do not go. She's not going to sit back and be used, nor is she going to tolerate a cheating spouse. If George fails the exam after not using her study cards, maybe he'll have an ephiphany that he needs her. However, does she still want him? Posted: May 10 @ 05:34 AM by: Gibraltariana (3039 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Dec 01, 2004 ***My Predictions And Random Thoughts With No Cohesiveness*** 1) MerDer - They will not cheat. They may not be all bright and shiny, but maybe that's a good thing. They are both HUMAN, and that's what they need to realize if the relationship will continue. 2) Burktina - I was kind of rooting for them here, mainly because Burke's sudden cake fetish seemed like nothing compared to the shenanigans of the other men in Seattle Grace. Still, recent events and the pic of him in the back of the church ( its bad luck to see the bride in her dress ) makes me think that this is not happening and the couple to break-up. 3) Izzie/Callie/George - I have no flippin clue how to synthesize my thoughts here. Part of me wants Callie to drop kick his cheating a$$, but it would gaul me to see him just take off and run with Izzie in the fields of gold. I think that this is going to be a muddy situation. I think that George and Callie may decide to try for a baby as part of George trying to hold on to the relationship (he knows she's going to find out, and maybe pregnant she would stay?) and Callie may want it for security as well. However, once she finds out about Gizzie and he finds out his test scores I just don't see a happy ending here. I think that the Chief's situation with Adele will factor in here with all three relationships, just not quite sure how. by: Gibraltariana (3039 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Dec 01, 2004 And here are is a spin on the Callie/George baby thing. Maybe they do try, Callie finds out about Gizzie, and she bolts. Herein lies the cliff. Is Callie pregnant, and will she return? Hopefully she is safely tucked away with Addison and we get some cross-overs! See - a prediction with marketing potential? H Posted: May 10 @ 09:10 AM by: Gibraltariana (3045 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Dec 01, 2004 I brought this over from the previous thread: also about izzie's speech, its just everything she personally believes. she believes george made a mistake & so do i. mer DID survive, she DID live. george WILL survive with izzie by his side, because he has to, just like mer HAD to pull through. All I meant by the speech and the reference to it is that while they may be Izzie's personal beliefs, none of the other ones were accurate. Also, Meredith came out of the NDE a very changed person as Izzie pointed out in that whole scene about Alex being one of their people. I do not think that Callie runs this episode, but I do think that her leaving is a cliffhanger for next season (end of "Didn't We Almost Have It All") and I think the whole "trying to have a baby thing" is part of it. It would also explain George simply giving up, because the realization that he is "THAT guy", the unfaithful cheater is going to completely eat him up. As far as Izzie being the one to get him through, she's never been able to do it before. After Meredith, Izzie said very clearly that she was on George's side and even offered to cut his hair after the Hobbit Scissor Extravaganza. George ran to Callie. After his father died, Callie handed George over to Izzie (GeorgeWatch 2007) and found she couldn't do it - George ran to Callie. Now, with this, maybe Izzie can help him but her track record bares out that George on some level will want his wife. Posted: May 09 @ 05:28 PM by: Gibraltariana (3034 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Dec 01, 2004 I am going to jump on this with one addition. I think that George and Callie do decide to try to get pregnant BEFORE Callie finds out about Gizzie. George doesn't want to lose either of them, and if he feels the secret is coming close to coming out he may want something to hold onto her with. I know, twelve year-old logic but that's George. THEN Callie finds out about Gizzie and bolts. George finds out he failed and decides to not repeat his internship. Posted: May 09 @ 07:47 PM by: Gibraltariana (3036 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Dec 01, 2004 Hey! Maybe we could get a clue from the hair? Here goes! Prom - Addison's hair was up - rejected. Meredith's hair was down - prom sex Callie's hair was pulled back in front and down - George asked her for more time and held on to her. Wedding - Izzie's hair is up - rejected Cristina's hair is up - rejected Meredith's hair is down - Whheeeee! Callie's hair is the same - I have no clue what the equivalent would be. Posted: May 07 @ 12:29 PM by: Gibraltariana (2952 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Dec 01, 2004 If Callie is the woman I think she is she will dump George. Remember she wasn't ready to give him up before his dad died etc... But all the crap he is pulling at this moment migth make her realize that she is ready to give him up. George may love her but like she said he almost always takes the side of Izzie and Mer. And founding out he slept with Izzie. I say she dumps him. I really am not sure. 1) Callie will dump him and throw him in the Biowaste can with the Judy dolls. 2) Callie and George will actually try to work things out. Here's the thing with Callie, she is in many ways George's Yin to his Yang. We know George can hold a grudge, so following the parameters for the character that the writers set up - Callie may forgive him IF he is truly sorry. They MAY actually try to make this work. TV Guide says that they come to terms with their strained relationship - which means they hash things out. However, if the cliffhanger is the wedding Callie is there looking all pretty with her ring on. So, I don't know. 3) Callie has a weakness for George and has never turned her back on him when he was in trouble. If George is truly the one to fail the exam, I could see Callie trying to come to his aid and help him. So, she may initially dump him and then run to help him. Message was edited by: Gibraltariana Posted: May 09 @ 07:59 PM by: Gibraltariana (3038 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Dec 01, 2004 Yep - that fits in with my theories..... I'm thinking Callie stays, and her and George give it a shot. MerDer will be fine. Burktina......not so much with the fine. Callie's hair could be the same because George wants more time with her? He wants to hold onto her, and give it a real shot? (I don't really know, can you tell? ;) ) Honey, we're all spitting in the wind here! Also, here's another thing I noticed. When Meredith is standing facing the congregation she is under the chuppah, which in Jewish tradition represents the home that the bride and groom will build. Posted: May 06 @ 11:33 AM by: Gibraltariana (2886 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Dec 01, 2004 i have been thinking coat closet George&Izzie wedding sex instead of the MerDer exam room prom since I heard about the wedding pretty much. So funny. Except I really don't want it to be utterly predictable. Please no Callie busting in part two. it's very possible it may happen, especially with shonda telling us there is going to be a lot of sex going on. The only thing that makes me think that there won't be coat closet sex is that the wedding is being filmed at location in a church - which means its really only the ceremony. So, I don't think that George and Izzie could really "sneak out" during the ceremony and get it on. Also, certain locations will NOT allow certain things to be "filmed" on their property. For example, the Catholic Dicoese of Brooklyn will not allow scenes of extreme violence or of a sexual nature to be filmed if a school or church is used as a location. They are using a Baptist Church, so I don't think that the Baptists would allow it. Now, if they make it to the reception in the finale and they move to another locale its possible. I think that the most likely candidate for failure would be George. Cristina asked him if he got the cards from his wife more than once. This is kind of a metaphor for him ignoring what his wife has to offer him in favor of Izzie. Now, how it works depends on where the show is going. I don't think its Cristina simply because her Karma will come at the wedding. If Callie's cards have something to do with it, then it would be someone who wasn't using them or rejected them as unimportant - Izzie or (most likely) George. You know, from the look on Meredith's face in the promo when Izzie is doing her rant from on high I thought she knew. Maybe Meredith is the third person Izzie tells that makes all hell break loose? |

He was fine before, this crap is just unnnecessary. fairlynewfan ---- May 07 @ 09:27 AM here's my wish for the opener The scene where Mer turns around from the mirror is because Der is in the doorway and says 'it's Not your fault' perhaps with food in hand since he did offer to bring dinner over. the bar chick is later at the bacherlor party, with no overtures at all on his part. i think the idea of Derek in an accident part makes sense for a cliff, but why would he be outside the church with everyone else inside? off topic and only because i sense you are all PD fans: i really look forward to the bonus scenes in s3 DVD set of him driving a race car. must say, him getting out of a car all sweaty and pumped with adrenaline is mighty fine imagery. . . |

knappmom3 ---- May 09 @ 06:29 AM McShovesheragainstthewallandpoundsherwithhispickleandtongue! ummmm here's what I think would be hysterical.....Derek flirting with McBarho and really having a great time. Then Mer comes in and sees it....mozies up to the bar where she immediately gets her flirt on with Mark....knowing Derek won't be able to look away. Mark would absolutely love that and Derek would hate it. It would be like pouring ice cold water in Derek's face. Then the 4 of them could sit at a table together and Mer and Der could play those stupid mind games while Mark and Mcbarho look on....then Derek and Mer leave together miffed and McBarho looks at Mark and says, so they're together right? Mark says, " do you really want to talk about them....or go back to my place." yeah---that's how I want it to play out. Then Mer and Der could go back to her place and fight some more until they've both had enough and then he McShovesheragainstthewallandpoundsherwithhispickleandtongue! That's how I want it to go down! :) then McBarho gets a name while in bed with Mark...Lexie Grey and she comes on to the show for 13 episodes next year as Mark's love interest. McCookie_Monster ---- May 09 @ 06:38 AM would like to say I have my own prediction, but I don't. I'm not really a free thinker exactly, I kind of latch onto others' thoughts. I feel like Lisette has it nailed on the head. I know what I would like to happen, but it's a little simplistic and probably too boring for television. I would like for Derek to go ahead into the house, drag Mer from her drinking with the friends, go ahead and talk things out, having the great McStanding... sex, and then a proposal by the end of the season. Don't need an answer necessarily, just a proposal and I would be happy. Okay, okay, I do like more detail than that and a bit more conflict, but my tummy has been in knots for the past 2 weeks and I'm not looking forward to more knots in the next 2! |

GraveDance ----May 07 @ 07:19 PM So Katie called me at work to tell me of this most recent development, and I freaked and couldn't breathe....but then I thought. Personally, I can't wrap my head around Derek cheating. I just can't figure out why he would do it...at all. Shonda JUST said in her blog last week that Derek knows he loves Meredith more than anything else in his life. I just can't see how you can go from that to cheating. Even if he thinks she doesn't want him....jumping to cheating just seems off. I mean Derek does some irrational things but that would top the cake. And it would kill Mer/Der. Besides....if he was going to cheat would he really pick the girl up in the bar when he's with people that consider Mer a friend? That just seems a little stupid...I mean if he left to go off with her....wouldn't Burke or Mark ask him what the hell he was doing? So that leaves us with a few options... 1) He shoots her down flat...and one of the others guys (Mark and Alex are both single) go after her and she's for them. 2) He flirts but leaves it at that. And then she ends up being an intern at the hospital...entirely possible as if I'm not mistaken we have sides for a new intern. And she might make life hard for Mer/Der at the beginning of next season. 3) It's Lexi Grey. 4) It's a complete foiler Shonda put out there as too many of us were confident that he wouldn't cheat. The fact that we see her and Derek together on the promo and now get word that she's on for more episodes maybe makes me think she definitely isn't for him. That would be a HUGE cliff hanger this season, Shonda wouldn't put that out there....I'd be shocked. So I'm really expecting some twist that we're not seeing. Of course, I could be wrong. But my gut says I'm not. I just don't see her killing Mer/Der that way. I think it's pretty clear that the fact we know NOTHING about Mer/Der in the finale makes it pretty clear that something big is going to happen. Either good or bad. Now right at this moment everything is pointing towards bad....which makes me think it's going to be good. Because we always get plot twists. I do think they are going to be fine. I think tomorrow night we'll be shaking our fists at God...but it will be okay. And I don't know about everyone else...but those pics strangely make me feel hopeful. I don't know why. |

merdermaid ----May 09 @ 05:09 AM Good morning. Well, I want to start out with a happy possibility, but then you'll have to explan why Ausiello would just fling something out there like he did. Have you known him to do that before? Here is my happy thought, which leads us near to TTTMNBN: Let's spin the Izzie-Derek Karma wheel in conjunction with the season 2 to 3 parallels. You all said that you didn't see Denny dying coming in that episode. So in the last hour of the season, Izzie agrees to marry Denny and then Denny dies. The romance of Izzie and Denny had been building up to that hour. So this season, Derek is leaning farther and farther away from Meredith, but in the last hour they fight and then move toward TTTMNBN. In addition, it wasn't accidental that the chief and Bailey saw the slap. They will be there to slap Derek. (Now, I admit it is much more likely we leave the season with Meredith and Derek on a cliff because that's how each season has ended and started - S1 - Meredith has to decide if she'll be with Derek. S2 - Derek has to decide if he'll be with Meredith. S3 - Meredith has to decide if she'll be with Derek, so S4 would start with Derek needing to decide to be with Meredith. But I hate the cliff. I don't like Shonda. And I have a thought about the bar girl and the suddenly offered contract that involves hating Shonda and her fascination with various actors and decisions to wing off the main story arc because that's what the characters would do . .. but I'll not put it down in electrons because it's too frustrating. And Shonda has to understand that most of us will not think the fun is back in S4 if Derek and Meredith aren't together. Posted: May 09 @ 07:19 AM by: merdermaid (642 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Apr 21, 2007 Predictions: 1. Alex will be alone and lonely, with Ava and hubby reconnected, no Addison, not in the wedding. Sets up "Why is he so afraid?" for next year. 2. It will come out that Bailey is separated. Sets up story line for next year. 3. Chief and Adele will try again. 4. Mark will be there to keep Derek on the straight and narrow re: McBarSlut. 5. George will admit to Callie that he loves both Izzie and Callie when Callie confonts him. I do think we get Callie George s ex and maybe George Izzie s ex. Callie will say she's pregnant. I'm not sure she is, but it's her card to play to keep him. I think George tells Izzie firmly that they are off . . .but we know the end won't be that clean and it will continue to be an issue into next season.* George is the intern who fails. He's so demoralized over the Izzie-Callie situation he says he isn't going to repeat year (a la Izzie last year). Ultimately he will either retake or repeat next year. To Be Cont'd - Posted: May 09 @ 07:20 AM by: merdermaid (642 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Apr 21, 2007 Predictions cont'd 6. Burke. Passed over for chief. He will decide not to be at SGH. think there is a high likelihood he asks Cristina to transfer to a new hospital with him and she says, No. She may even say how much she hates the wedding and that he doesn't listen to her. And that is a big part of the end for them. Burke figures out that Cris didn't pick the red velvet cake - her friends did and she just told him it was her pic. It's the last straw. He's done. He leaves her . . . I'm not sure how this plays out . . . It's hard to see proper Burke disrupting the wedding, but if they get to the altar, that's what has to happen. I 7. Cris. Left at the altar. 8. Derek. Named Chief. Will encourage Chief to stay on . . . may not know if Derek will be Chief or if the Chief stays on. Ultimately Derek will be Chief - but maybe not now. No McBarSlut - but the fact that he's tempted terrifies him too. He just wants to escape. He just wants things to be easier. 9. Meredith (and the MerDer of it all). Her loyalties are tested. Derek says, "It's me or your friends." She has only the interns as family and she has a jump to make to make Derek family . . . so there is the possibility she'd be completely alone if she goes toward Derek and then Derek "won't breathe" for her. She's never had anyone stay before. She figures out about the George-Izzie-Callie of it all and owes a loyalty to them all and can't be there for them all. Cris needs her after Burke leaves Cris, but Meredith comes to the realization at the same time that she has to make things right with Derek. If George has told Izzie it's all off, then we get a MerDer commitment.* *If George and Izzie stay as they are, fighting the feelings, then we leave Meredith and Derek on the cliff . . . with Meredith having decided to do what it takes for Derek, but Derek not knowing that when the SF ends. An unknown for me is how Derek and the injured hikers and his learning that one of the hikers may have intentionally injured the others plays. It's clearly a metaphor. We are pretty sure it's about the interns. OH . . .what if Derek comes to understand he can't make Meredith choose between the interns and him - that she can bring them along too? We'll know a bit more about this after tomorrow. That's the best I can do right now. I haven't incorporated a specific Derek injury - but if they are on the cliff, an injury could be part of it. Posted: May 09 @ 05:11 PM by: merdermaid (689 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Apr 21, 2007 Terri, I am making one amendment to my predictions. I think George and Callie decide to try to get pregnant. Callie sees it as something she has that Izzie can't. George sees it as a way to commit to Callie. We all know it won't be that simple and the triangle will continue at least emotionally into next season. Posted: May 09 @ 06:11 PM by: merdermaid (690 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Apr 21, 2007 I truly think that MerDer will be fine, unfocused as to what they want specifically from one another. I think Derek's face is not so much directed at Meredith but the situation. I mean, if Meredith is facing the congregation SO NOT GOOD! Are you saying you think that's how the season ends for them? As much as I want some version of TTTMNBN or a housing decision, I just think they have to be a big part of the cliff. I also really, really wonder if we aren't stopping mid wedding - or when Cris is supposed to walk in - or when Burke is supposed to walk in - and that's the cliff - where is so and so??? And we don't know if they get married. And even if there is storming out, we don't know if Derek and Meredith are still up front and the guests are still in their seats . . . . That is a cliff hanger I could live with. Posted: May 09 @ 06:18 PM by: merdermaid (690 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Apr 21, 2007 I've been saying that all along. I cannot do this, then the old Karma Wheel plus S2 parallels make things look AWESOME for MerDer. If George and Izzie are still fighting the feelings, then Mer and Der are still in some level of uncertainty. I personally go for the wheel spin as good for MerDer myself (once I got over the false McBarSlut post). Not necessarily TTTMNBN, but a decision to go forward. I agree that the absence of info lends itself to a big MerDer finish. But the podcasts and blogs have been awful . . . Did you see the cool McDreamysFan post a thread ago about this being a completion of the Guy in Bar hiding his pain arc? And this time Derek deals with the pain. I love that - and it would be an arc from 3.1 to 3.25 - A very Shonda thing to do. |

McDreamysFan ----May 09 @ 06:59 AM I do remember the interview I think it was in a magazine over seas and we figured it was from early on in season 3---I believe it was dated back in August? So Girls that have been here a while and remember this discussion pull out the memory bits of the brain....I'm pretty sure it was based on an older interview. Thanks, I just can't recall any brain surgeries with Meredith and Derek, I think they make break up this week and then get back together by the end of the season, the following week... I still think there is more to the "do you want to get married and you haven't told me and now we have a problem" scene...for better or for worse, who knows... Burke & Cris don't get married, Mer and Derek will? Wild idea, some of us believe this will happen, considering Shonda said there would be a wedding...IMO Callie & George don't count because I think Shonda would have said "marriage" if she meant them, she meant a wedding ceremony, party. Anyway, now that Meredith has been re-born and is breathing on her own, thanks to the slap, all she has to do is pass her test and finally make her choice. IMO, Derek will be offered the COS position and turn it down, that is also a choice, the right one. Also, one last thing, last night we were blogging about closing the circle on the KB storyline...my idea is that Meredith saves someone big, either Adele (I think this is who Richard is screaming over in the promo) or Ava (as in saving herself, metaphorically)... I think all the interns (not sure if you saw my post on the 5 Senses, 5 Interns) pull their resurces they will figure out how to save the patient and Meredith will ultimately end up in the brain surgery with Derek... They will have another natural "high" moment following the surgery and he will fall in love with her all over again in that minute. Thoughts?? Posted: May 09 @ 07:08 AM by: McDreamysFan (565 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Aug 20, 2006 Hi McDreamysfan. I'm Lynn. There are a bunch of us who have played with The Theory That Must Not Be Named (MerDer W*****g - aka TTTMNBN). And we agree about the proposal that wasn't with Liar playing in the background. Will you post your 5 senses/5 interns here? Hey Lynn... Here's the post...what do you think? Hi- Anywhere in that Word Doc. did we discuss The 5 Senses? Five interns? Five senses? Sight Hearing Taste Smell Touch All methods of perception. All neurological pathways. All interns are together in the same boat at the beginning of the series, all depending on each other...together they make up one perceptive entity, lets say. But take away those perceptions arnd you are blind, deaf, unable to taste, smell, touch...NUMB? Have the interns fallen apart by seperating and growing seperately? Now that they are studying together for their exam, all in the same boat again...are perceptions raised, hieghtened? If Derek were to get them all in the same room, huddle again like in the KB story, would all the perceptions (the other interns) be able to assist Meredith in saving the patient (whoever that may be, Ava, Adele?) and thereby AWAKENING her senses again??? A final re-birth, making her complete? We need to complete the KB circle with a true "high", not drug induced from both Meredith and Derek, many of us think he fell in love with Meredith right after that surgery. They need that again, they need a surger together again to draw enery from each other, get on the same page. |

Bright_N_Shiny ---- May 09 @ 12:07 PM Ann - give us your predictions, OK? Predictions - I'd have to say no wedding for Burke/Cris. George flunks but re-takes in 3 months and is reinstated. Callie/George stay together. Callie won't be able to forgive him though and they will split next season. Mer proposes to Der after wedding debacle. Der's answer is the cliff. Totally just pulled those out of my you know what! I really have no idea what is going to happen. The frustrating part is tomorrow will only provide a couple of answers but many more questions! |

jenlou1986 ---Posted: May 09 @ 09:42 PM My longer predictions just for Terri: **************PREDICTIONS**************** Okay, I predict (let me glance into my crystal ball….) George will break it off with Izzie on the grounds that he doesn’t believe in divorce, and wants to give his marriage a real chance, to try to make it work. Callie might take a while to come around to the idea of Izzie, but I think that she will also want to try to make it work. I think eventually they WILL split, but not for a while. (Although, since I'm not quite ready to let go of Lexie, I think maybe if Gallie stay, we may see Lexie....possibly wishful thinking, more than an actual prediction...) Burke and Cristina: I’m thinking they make it down the aisle, but then Burke has doubts and wants to speak to her privately…..(this way we get MerDer hopefully walking down the aisle together…..;)) He calls it off……but he doesn’t leave her standing at the altar…..(I actually can’t see Burke doing that to her…) Mer has to tell everyone that the wedding is off, and she will make a speech that will influence her and Derek, a lot!!! It will be heartfelt, and hopefully proves to Derek how much she does love him, and need him, and that she has changed, or is in the process of changing, and she is letting him in. I think we may get a proposal, but as for who proposes, I’m not too sure…..But whatever the cliff for MerDer it is going to be a good one…:) The Chief will offer the position to Derek, who will turn it down in favour of Mer, and the Chief will actually end up staying on….. I think either George or Izzie fails, but I’m going with George for now…..and Callie will be the one to really help him….. Bailey – next season we will have more of a Bailey storyline, with the problems she is facing…..she gets CR, but maybe begins to lose her family…..She said to Burke and George “I need the space, I need the quiet and I need it now.” I think that meant more than just wanting them to leave her alone…. Alex and Addie will have some sort of discussion, hopefully, to finish off that storyline…it looks like the spinoff is a go, so Addie is gone…. I'm not sure about all the sex we are supposed to get, but I think Adele will need surgery, as will maybe Ava.....Mer will scrub in with Derek, and we will get some season one 'eye sex.' In season 4 we will see the redeeming of Mark, but we will also see Der and Mark work on their friendship, which hopefully gets back to what it once was…. Derek will not cheat…..I don’t think he will even consider it……and the bar girl is either Lexie (though I hope not!) or it could be Alex’s sister, to expand on his character for next season Posted: May 09 @ 10:43 PM by: jenlou1986 (2109 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Apr 01, 2007 I think Mer will be fine for her exams, too. And yes, this week will probably be hard to watch, but next week should make up for it. Mer is growing, she is changing, she will not end up like her Mother....I'll post something I posted on another S&D thread, rather than retype it...:) --------------------------------------------- Shonda is beginning to write Mer as coming into her own, standing up, so to speak, to who she can potentially be. Mer is the antithesis of Ellis - Mer can have it all, be a great surgeon, and keep a strong relationship. Ellis couldn't do it....she lost Thatcher. Mer is the opposite of Ellis in that - Ellis lost Richard, Mer got Derek, Mer is human, has a great bedside manner without compromising the patient or her job as a surgeon, what we know of Ellis is that she didn't have the bedside manner. Ellis ended up alone because of how cold she was, she pushed everone away.....Mer was like this, not cold, but she was unable to let anyone in....she is definitely growing.... Ellis died alone, Mer won't end up like this. ---------------------------------------------------------- Posted: May 09 @ 06:57 PM by: jenlou1986 (2085 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Apr 01, 2007 Is it possible that Mer has the job of telling everyone that the wedding is off, she gives her 'heartfelt speech' which ultimately leads to a GREAT ending for MerDer? Lynn.....Gizzie won't go ahead, I honestly believe that, which brings us to a good MerDer (I believe that, but you know that....) If George decides to really give his marriage a shot, he will distance himself from Izzie. As for the blogs and podcasts - they are awful for a reason. If they were positive for MerDer, then I would be concerned, but they are all leading people to think 'here we go again, another break up.' Well, quite frankly, if this was Shonda's plan, it is working. They won't break up. Period. Honestly. As for the false post on the bar girl.........that person is known for posts that are full of crap, so have no fear...:) Oh, and the bolded part is a VERY good point!! Wedding - Izzie's hair is up - rejected Cristina's hair is up - rejected Meredith's hair is down - Whheeeee! Callie's hair is the same - I have no clue what the equivalent would be. red_grey ---Posted: May 09 @ 10:37 PM "work out their conflicts"... I am going to clutch onto that concept... even though I know PD doesnt control what Shonda does. I have said before, if we knew they would just leave them together, and not crazily break them up, we coudl probably deal with the ups & downs better. I am wayyy to heavily invested in merder for my own health. But I also get a lot of kicks out of Mer & I am hoping that even if the merderness is icky this Thur (well my Friday) then Mer is still growing & strengthening. If the black dress means she does go to the funeral, then that is great, it shows she isn't avoiding as much and she acknowledged Susan despite what Thatcher did. I also am pretty confident that she will be fine for her exams.. I honestly think they will end tomorrow night the scene with the bar chick, and it will still be will he/wont he/who is she?? |

Rhiannonstar84 - Posted: May 10 @ 12:59 AM *****Predictions***** So....I pretty much agree with what Jenna has predicted, so much so that if I type it out, it's gonna be a repost of Jenna's post, so I'll ltry to be brief. A few words about the George/Callie situation: They're gonna make it, for now. George is really going to try to stick with Callie, because, as Jenna pointed out, he doesn't believe in divorce, and the writers had him say it during lasts week's episode for a reason. Another thing that is a positive for Callie and George, from that same conversation with Burke, is that George says that he just got married because it seemed like the right thing to do. It was spontaneous, and no planning was involved. We all know how things go down for people with plans on this show. (As a sidenote, we haven't seen the last of Gizzie, despite all this. The George/Callie union won't make it far into next season.) On the other hand, we have Burke, McPlanner himself going all Martha Stewart on his wedding. Emphasis on HIS. Given that, and the fact that he stated along with George, that he didn't believe in divorce either, and also that he has been having some major doubts about his and Cris's future, we're pretty safe to assume Burktina will not tie the knot. Some crazy thoughts: Cris ... will be left all rejected and then we'll have Mark all rejected as well... soooooo..... maybe.....well get a possible pairing with these two next season....hmmm. I guess it could work out also that a rejected Mark and a rejected Izzie get together...hee hee hee MerDer will be together...the girl in the bar...definitely related to someone on the show... Lexie Grey or Alex's sister maybe... We're going to get a scene b/w Alex and Addison, this time she's going to do the rejecting. Not because she doesn't like him, but because she's already made her decision to move to LA as well as move on with her life. We've had her rejected twice by Alex so now we'll get a third attempt but it'll be from Alex, and it will be too late. They'll be on good terms though. Hopefully he opens up to her and explains himself, and maybe, we'll have the story revisited if she ever returns to Seattle during sweeps. |

NoTroutForMe ---- Posted: May 10 @ 10:50 AM Hello Ladies! Just checking in. Terri, I don't really have much to add prediction-wise, I generally suck at getting it right so I don't bother! Plus it's been too hot the last couple of days and my brain's not functioning (are ya with me? ;) ) I'm going with any and all theories for a positive MerDer outcome - I have nothing if not hope... The only thing I mentioned before is George failing the exam, because the option of running to Mercy West would then be taken from him. And those photos of Burke at the wedding, I have to agree with the majority - sooo not happening. Either IW's acting's really bad (possible? ;) ), or he just doesn't look like a guy on his wedding day. My DH was grinning like a fool the ENTIRE day. I kid you not. It cracked me up. My friend saw my shoulders shaking when I got to the top of the aisle and she thought I was crying - nope, just LMAO at his face! :D ITA, in the pics, Derek has 'the look' more than Burke does. So, I'm stocked up for tonight. Just did the grocery shopping and I have: 2 packs double stuf Oreos 3.5 quarts chocolate moose tracks ice cream (Gotta love BOGO sales :) ) 1.75 liters Southern Comfort OK - not ALL for tonight! I'm hanging in the with the positive right now, but if things aren't looking up by the end of next Thursday I'm going to be a 400 pound alcoholic by the time Season 4 comes around... :^O |
