SPOILERFIX SPOILAGE ----------------------------------------------------------------------- General Spoilers: * 02/12 - According to inside sources who work on Grey's, it is likely that Heigl and Knight will make an exit at the end of the current season. Both have asked to leave the show. However, ABC needs to sign off on letting them out of their contracts, which has not been done. Source: Kristin on E!Online * new 02/02 - [Bailey] receives some potentially career-altering news. [...] Lots of cheesy, slow-mo, piano-scored interludes will give way to an emotional collapse [between Cristina and Owen] that is either extremely moving or ridiculously over the top. Source: The Ausiello Files * 01/25 - [Denny]'ll be around at least through March, since that's when Izzie's aneurysm-esque medical condition finally gets diagnosed. [...] Sources confirm [that Faye Dunaway] has signed on for at least one episode of Grey's Anatomy to air in February. She'll play a renowned doc at the hospital who crosses paths with the Chief, Cristina and Owen. Source: The Ausiello Files * 12/12/2008 - New details are emerging about Jennifer Westfeldt's forthcoming arc as a patient on Grey's Anatomy. Or, I should say, new detail : She's married to Angels in America's Ben Shenkman. [...] He's not dropping by Seattle Grace to keep vigil at his ailing wife's bedside. According to a Grey's insider, he's a patient, too -- and a critical one at that. Like Westfeldt, Shenkman is signed on for multiple episodes. [...] [Eric Stoltz's serial killer character] is there to receive medical attention after he suffers a major beat down in prison. [T.R. Knight, who plays George, is in talks to be released from the show.] Source: The Ausiello Files * 12/04/2008 - Izzie's hallucinations are health-related -- and brain-related. And although the specific name of the ailment is being kept in the safe underneath Rhimes' desk, I'm told it's similar to an aneurysm. And every time it flares up, she sees Denny. Source: The Ausiello Files * 12/04/2008 - A source close to the show tells me, "The reason [the actor] has not been on is because [he or she] has been a pain in the ass lately, trying to change scenes and dialogue, being hard to work with and putting up an attitude. The higher-ups were getting tired of it, so they tweaked [him or her] out of some episodes. That's why you haven't really seen [him or her] lately." A second source seconds that emotion: "[He or she] is not really getting along too well with producers right now." Source: Kristin on E!Online * 11/26/2008 - Jennifer Westfeldt is joining Grey's Anatomy for a multi-episode arc. [... She] is coming on as a patient. [... The crossover will] take place over the course of three episodes (Feb. 5, 12, and 19) and the only confirmed participant as of now is Kate Walsh. [...] Denny will be haunting Izzie at least through February. Source: The Ausiello Files * 11/20/2008 - "I think the love triangle with Denny, Izzie, and Alex is among the most interesting we've ever done. Watching the chemistry between Jeffrey and Katherine again has been really touching. I can't wait for our viewers to see where we're taking it. But what it won't involve is Izzie having a brain tumor," [Shonda Rhimes revealed... Denny will] be in at least five episodes. Source: The Ausiello Files * 11/08/2008 - Sources tell TVGuide.com exclusively that ABC powerhouse Grey's Anatomy and its spin-off, Private Practice, will be embarking on a multi-episode crossover story come February sweeps. Though at this very early stage the number of episodes and the sum total of actors involved has yet to be nailed down, it can at least be confirmed that Kate Walsh's Dr. Addison Montgomery will again be walking the halls of Seattle Grace, as she did for one episode last spring (several months after Private Practice made its debut). Source: TV Guide Online * 11/06/2008 - A female patient named Natalie wants to leave the hospital because she'll get fired from her job at a bar if she misses any more shifts. As the doctor taking care of her fixes a bandage before she goes, he notices that Natalie has many scars. Natalie also tells the male doctor that she's been flirting with him all day and that he should have reciprocated. Source: SpoilerFix.com [Note: This was set to occur around episode 9. It's unknown if it's been pushed to another episode or dropped.] * 11/04 /2008- [The show] is now casting "star names only" for a "former military nurse who is maternal." Cristina most definitely has a "Major" romance coming on! Source: Kristin on E!Online * 11/02/2008 - Jessica Capshaw (The L Word, The Practice) will play Dr. Arizona Robbins, a pediatrician who's called in to consult on a case and winds up butting heads with Bailey. I hear that Capshaw has signed on for at least three episodes, though that could lead to more, and that she will make her first appearance midway through the season. Source: LA Times * 08/28/2008 - [Dr. Addison Montgomery] may take another trip back to Seattle Grace sometime in the middle of the season, hints executive producer Shonda Rhimes. "I don't know if it's going to work with the story, and we don't want her to come back for a visit if it doesn't feel important, something only Addison can do," says Rhimes. "But the idea is on the table." Source: Entertainment Weekly ------------------------------------------------ (these have not been verified by ABC yet) Season Finale Title Revealed - Apr 22, 2009 Despite lots of various rumors/foilers on various other site we can confirm the titles for the Season Finale. Thursday, May 14,2009 21:00 - 22:00 pm GREY'S ANATOMY - "Here's To The Future" 22:00 - 23:00 pm GREY'S ANATOMY - "Now Or Never" (Season Finale) http://spoilertv-greysanatomy.blogspot.com/2009/04/season-finale-title-revealed.html Filming Report - April 16, 2009 Thanks to SpoilerTV reader Jen for sending us the following. Hopefully we'll get some more. One of my coworkers was in Los Angeles on business and when I called her and told her about Grey's filming the wedding scene she freaked and found the set. It was filmed at Immanuel Presbyterian Church and they of course were trying to be super secretive. There were a small gathering of fans that were there though hiding out back and my co-worker Karen was one of them. She didn't have her camera with her since she wasn't really expecting this, but she told me what she saw. She was there for the lunch break (which is the pics you posted on the site, she said there were two or three paps there too) but she said later Katherine Heighl was standing in the doorway with TRK and she was smoking *in a wedding dress*. She had a big jacket/robe thing over it, but she said there was no doubt it was a wedding dress. She said Katherine was only in the doorway a minute or two before they called her back in, but she has no doubt that it was a wedding dress. SIDES & SUMMARIES ----------------------------------------------- Credit to Crys @ TWoP More casting sides for episode 5.21 - "Not Good At Saying Sorry" Kate- Maddy's mother. ER Trauma room: Dr. Hamilton is looking at Kate's arm wound while Dr. Roberts is looking at Maddy's injuries. Dr. Hamilton says Kate is a lucky woman, she won't even need surgery just to have the wound cleaned up. Kate is relieved and starts assuring Maddy that she's fine and that Maddy didn't hurt her. Maddy is hiding her face as Dr. Roberts is asking her questions and Kate explains that Maddy is scared because she thinks she did a bad things and she's going to be taken away. Dr. Hamilton says the police are going to want to talk to both of them to know how Maddy got a hold of the gun. Kate says that Maddy's father is a cop, he got home exhausted and put the gun down for a minute. The cut Maddy has is from the gun kickback which hit her in the face. Maddy didn't know what she was doing, she didn't mean to hurt anyone. Dr. Hamilton tells them that they can tell the police that and eveything will be ok. Kate starts sobbing and Scene 2 - ER Trauma room: Kate is sobbing and holding Maddy close, she pleads with Dr. Walters to believe her. Maddy is just a little girl, she didn't mean to hurt her father she was just trying to stop him. Maddy's father loves them but he has anger problems and had been working on it. Julie- 30's, corporate lawyer. Julie's sister Willow is an environmental activist and the patient. Willow's room -Dr. Smith attends to Willow who is in a lot of pain while Julie is on her cell phone. Julie is pleased to tell Willow she has an associate who has a contact with Schuster & Warner and they have agreed to pay Willow's medical bill and not sue her for trespassing if Willow sings a contract stating she won't sue them and will never trespass on their property again. Willow asks Julie if she knows how many acres of forest they've destroyed, or how many ecosystems will never be restored. Julie asks Dr. Smith to give her a moment with her sister and after Dr. Smith steps out Julie asks Willow how is she going to pay her bills and who's going to take care of her seeing as how she did this to herself. Willow defends herself saying they tried to kill her just like they kill all those trees and the creatures that live in them. Julie says Willow is not a defenseless tree-living creature. She is an adult woman who made the conscious decision to trespass and that is unbelievably stupid, naïve and irresponsible. Scene 2: Waiting room - Julie spots Dr. Smith and asks what is going on with her sister, the other doctor rushed her into surgery. Dr. Smith says he (or she) doesn't know but could find out. Julie starts to cry, she's terrified so Dr. Smith steers her to the chairs. Julie says those SOB's weighed the cost of killing Willow or letting her stay up in the tree and they got a bulldozer and knocked her out of the tree. Dr. Smith helps Julie to a seat. http://spoilertv-greysanatomy.blogspot.com/2009/03/episode-521-no-good-at-saying-sorry_11.html ------------------------------------------------------------- In the casting side for Maddy, it sounded like Maddy had intentionally poisoned her mother. Now in the mother's sides (Kate) this sounds like Maddy picked up a gun and fired it hurting her father (perhaps killing him) and her mother too because she was trying to stop her father who has anger problems. I think the second scenario with the gun is more likely to have happened than the one with poison. A man with anger issues who may be taking it out on his wife and daughter could be related to Owen and his PTSD issues. Owen's probably trying to deal with his anger too and Cristina is getting caught up in his problems like in the promo when Owen apparently wakes up and shoves Cristina into a wall. Or maybe it somehow relates to Alex who grew up with an abusive father who would beat his mother and likely him too. Hard to say what doctors are involved since mos tof the dialogue is from the guest cast. ------------------------------------------------------------ credit to Crys @TWoP Sides summary for episode 5.21 "Not Good At Saying Sorry" There one side out for episode 5.21 and it's for Maddy ( I want sides for Ronnie!). Maddy- 6 years old, is in the ER trauma room and needs a few stitches to her face. Dr. Smith introduces herself and asks to take a look at Maddy's cut. Maddy asks Dr. Smith if her mother is going to die to which Dr. Smith says she hopes not and that the doctors are working hard to help her. Maddy wants to know why her mother won't die when she (maddy) gave her lots of poison. Dr. Smith is taken aback. Episode 5.21 - No Good at Saying Sorry - Casting Call - March 06, 2009 This episode will film between March 13, 2009 - March 25, 2009 [RONNIE] Caucasian, female, mid to late 40s, attractive, heart warming, trailer trash woman. SONG TITLE REFERENCE & LYRICS ~ EPISODE PLAYLIST Song Title Episode 5.21 - No Good at Saying Sorry The Early Novembers No Good At Saying Sorry (One More Chance) What was I to say I'm already all alone, and there's nothing here except a hole in the wall. What was I to do and how should I know, I was never good when times are changing. One more chance I'd never would react like this. One more time could be time enough to think about it. And one last straw could be strong enough to make this world or throw away everything. It's time that I go; I can sleep on the road, it wont be soft but it will be on my own. I'm sure that last time I couldn't have been wrong, besides I'm not good with saying sorry. One more chance I'd never would react like this. One more time could be time enough to think about it. And one last straw could be strong enough to make this world or throw away everything. (Throw away everything) Just one time is all it takes; one time is all it takes (Timing shows I needed to prove that I am...) Just one time is all it takes, (...Strong enough to be on my own.) One time is all it takes (We're taking time with bad excuses...) Just one time is all it takes. ...go to show it to know that everything is all right. One more chance I'd never would react like this. One more time could be time enough to think about it. And one last straw could be strong enough to make this world or throw away everything. One more chance I'd never would react like this. One more time could be time enough to think about it. RECAPS & REVIEWS & RATINGS BUDDYTV Grey’s Anatomy: Episode 5.21 “No Good At Saying Sorry” Recap – Friday, May 01, 2009 Grey's Anatomy. begins tonight with an opening shot of the beautiful Puget Sound. Meredith's voiceover and the title of the episode indicates it's all about saying you're sorry. All of Izzie's friends are crowded around Izzie's bed, sampling chicken skewers for her as part of the wedding preparations. She might be having surgery today so she is not allowed to eat anything, so she has to depend on everyone else's taste buds in order to pick the appetizers. Everyone is driving her n.uts, though, because they say things like, "The chicken tastes like chicken." Izzie is anxious to get the menu nailed down so that she can put it on the wedding website that she set up for Meredith and Derek. (Meredith is all, "What, now? There's a website??") Derek emerges from the bathroom wearing his morning coat, clearly uncomfortable. Cont… http://www.buddytv.com/articles/greys-anatomy/greys-anatomy-episode-521-no-g-28241.aspx 'Grey's Anatomy' Wedding Crew Spotted, The Jig is Up! - Friday, April 17, 2009 Shonda got us good. Or so she thinks. After the slew of spoilers, confirmations and subsequent retractions, no one knows what's going to happen as Grey's Anatomy inches closer to its finale. Initially, the ABC medical dramedy's now notorious creator has informed everyone via Twitter that it is indeed Derek and Meredith who are saying their I do's on the show's 100th episode. Not that she isn't trustworthy (or a flat-out evil liar), but it's just very hard to believe that things will go as planned on the episode. Now another report surfaced that claims it has nailed down Shonda and for good. According to the source, it spotted the filming of the heavily anticipated wedding scene and can now conclusively identify who's getting married, once and for all. If such is true, didn't the Grey's Anatomy crew learn anything from the Sex and the City film? I heard those folks shot multiple endings just to avoid spilling the plot. Read at your own risk. Spoilers. According to some reports (with pictures), Katherine Heigl was spotted in the middle of filming in Los Angeles recently, and she was wearing a wedding dress. She was with best friend T.R. Knight, with a "big jacket/robe thing" over the dress but there was "no doubt" that it was a wedding dress. She was in the doorway only for a minute or two before going back inside. A set of photos here has Ellen Pompeo in something purple. Bride turned bridesmaid? It also looks like almost everyone is there, including Sloan (Eric Dane), Derek (Patrick Dempsey), Yang (Sandra Oh), Meredith (Pompeo) and George (Knight). Here's how things currently stand. If this is true, it means cancer-stricken Izzie (Heigl) will pull an A Walk to Remember and marry boyfriend Alex (Justin Chambers) before she dies. Of course, this doesn't mean that the MerDer wedding is already off the to-do-list. It's not impossible to have two weddings (very unlikely, though). On hindsight, it is so Meredith to selflessly forego her dream wedding for a dying friend. She always says she' dark and twisty and it's true, but we all know she's an extremely good person too. As for Alex doing his part, we've seen how he's been desperately sad the past few episodes. He feels guilty about not noticing the symptoms at all, and he obviously wants to make it up to Izzie. Or could this be a deliberate ploy to make Grey's Anatomy fans think it's Izzie, when in fact, it's still Meredith all along? But when does it end? Regardless of who's getting married, who would YOU like to hitch on Grey's? POLL http://www.buddytv.com/articles/greys-anatomy/greys-anatomy-wedding-crew-spo-27861.aspx ----------------------------------------------------------------------- CHICAGO TRIBUNE ----------------------------------------------------------------------- CINEMA BLEND ----------------------------------------------------------------------- EW.COM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- FANGASM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- LA TIMES ----------------------------------------------------------------------- MSNBC Recession hits ‘Housewives,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ - April 14, 2009 ............................................... Over at “Grey’s Anatomy,” one source close to the show says that Katherine Heigl, whose character, Izzie Stephens, just had brain surgery, could suffer a similar fate. “Katie had no way of knowing that when she initially made it seem like she wanted out of her contract, the economy would be where it is now and they’d be looking to cut costs,” said the source. “It’s no coincidence that now you hear her saying she’s along for as long as they’ll have her.” ...................................... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30214442/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------- NEW YORK MAGAZINE ----------------------------------------------------------------------- TV GUIDE ----------------------------------------------------------------------- TV SQUAD Grey’s Anatomy: No Good at Saying Sorry (One More Chance) – May 1, 2009 The 99th episode of Grey's Anatomy has come and past and the last five minutes got to me. There's something gratifying about having all the storylines set to music and every other character in tears. It's definitely setting up for the big 100. http://www.tvsquad.com/category/episode-reviews/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ZAP2IT ----------------------------------------------------------------------- BAILEY IN FOR SHAKEUP - April 16, 2009 "GREY'S Anatomy" star Chandra Wilson says fans should expect some bombshells in next month's season finale. "I've been told there are some life-changing things that happen to all of us," says Wilson, who plays chief resident Miranda Bailey on ABC's medical drama. "I don't know what those things are that [show creator] Shonda Rhimes is talking about... so I don't know how Bailey's life is altered," she says. "But I would love to see that final episode!" Bailey has certainly changed this season, with the once-hard-nosed doc visibly softening now that she's chosen pediatrics over surgery. That storyline continues when "Grey's" returns next Thursday with its first new episode in four weeks. "It's supposed to be Bailey's day off, but she decides to come in and take a look at some procedures she hasn't seen in a while, and she gets sucked in with another child who's not doing too well," Wilson says. "But she handles this one considerably differently from some of the children that knocked her off her feet before." Wilson also says the cast is gearing up for the big wedding of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey). VIDEO: Watch the McDreamy Proposal "We're doing a church [wedding] and we're doing pretty dresses and they've got bridesmaids dresses for Izzie, Cristina and Lexie," she says of co-stars Katherine Heigl, Sandra Oh and Chyler Leigh. "We have a color theme -- we're trying to be semi-traditional." http://www.nypost.com/seven/04162009/tv/bailey_in_for_shakeup_164600.htm RATINGS Fast National ratings for Thursday, April 30, 2009 CBS and ABC staged another close ratings race Thursday, with "CSI" leading the viewer race and "Grey's Anatomy" winning the demographic crown. CBS averaged a 7.8 rating/13 share in primetime, beating out ABC' 7.0/11. FOX came in third with a 4.9/8. NBC, 3.9/6, finished fourth, and The CW trailed with a 1.9/3. The adults 18-49 title went to ABC, which scored a 3.5 rating in the advertisers' favorite demo. CBS took second at 3.2. FOX and NBC tied for third at 2.5, and The CW earned a 1.3. "Survivor: Tocantins" put CBS on top at 8 with a 7.1/12. "Bones," 5.5/9, grabbed second for FOX. The return of "Ugly Betty" drew a modest 4.7/9 for ABC, but that was good enough to beat the 3.4/6 average for "My Name Is Earl" and "Parks and Recreation" on NBC. The CW's "Smallville" trailed. "CSI" grabbed the night's biggest audience at 9 p.m., scoring a 9.6/15. "Grey's Anatomy" was close behind at 9.4/15 and led the hour in adults 18-49. "Hell's Kitchen" came in third for FOX. "The Office," 4.4/7, and "30 Rock," 3.6/6, kept NBC in fourth. "Supernatural" drew a 1.8/3 for The CW. The season finale of ABC's "Private Practice," 6.8/12, led in households and adults 18-49 at 10 p.m., but a "Criminal Minds" rerun, 6.7/11, drew more viewers to CBS. "Southland" slid some more, scoring a 4.3/7 for NBC. Edited by oncetherewasaway, Jul 14 2009, 04:32 PM.

It's the episode where Izzie's mom comes to visit so maybe Alex is clean shaven to make a good impression, it's like his version of Mer's high ponytail. LOL There's also the possibility that JC shaved but over the weekend grew scruff and then started filming his scenes this week. I think PD knows M/D will get married but he isn't completely sure M/D is the wedding that's being talked about. It wouldn't surprise me if M/D pull a fast one and get engaged and then married a few episodes later. Meredith doesn't seem like the type that would want an elaborate wedding so it'll probably be something more low key. I don't think Kristin necessarily knows much of where C/O are going because if she did she wouldn't be so vague but much more specific to show that she knows things. The "cataclysmic" event KMcK is talking about I believe is Owen's PTSD episode that injures Cristina and traumatizes the both of them in 5.19. (Elevator Love Letter)I think they'll back off a bit from each other because whatever happens is pretty bad but the feelings they have for one another are stronger so they'll get back together and work things out.
