Council Update: Vs. System Archive Project
Posted by scottkthompson (Senior Member) at Yesterday, 4:32 AM. 0 comments
Hey guys! We've got something new for you to chew on this week. head on over to the main page and read up on our Vs. System Archive Project. We need as much feedback as possible on this one.
We're particularly interested in anyone with access to old Metagame articles, people who want their blogs 'archived', and people who want to volunteer their time.
PM any of your council members if you're interested. Here's the link!
http://vssystem.org/2010/02/07/council-update-vs-system-archive-project/
Also, in case you missed last week's update, make sure you add yourself to the locator:
http://vssystem.org/player-locator/
Finally, there has been a 100 Ideas update. I know the space between updates is getting longer and longer, but honestly, less and less people are producing matchups for me each time. I apologize for the delay, but rest assured I'm doing everything I can! Here's the link:

Check out this week's announcment on the frontpage. Ego's are back in a back in a big way. Don't believe me? We have 3 upcoming tournaments all featuring DC's big hitters. First is Kj's mentioned in the update. In addition to that one, there's...
Houston Mega-Weekend:

WonderCon 2010:

ANNOUNCEMENT:The Yarr! Solution
Posted by Kamiza (Admin) at Jan 12 2010, 01:12 PM. 2 comments
Hi one and all. Sorry for the delay in getting this problem sorted but I've finally cracked it. What problem you say? Well, some of you may not realise but I originally set up this site almost 5 years ago (May 2005) and since that time, in an effort to keep spam and such out of the main body of the site I set up the Yarr! forum where people could go, spam, flame each other etc. It would seem that a lot of people have been raising their concerns over Yarr! hogging the "active topics" forum. Unfortunately there is no way to prevent posts automatically appearing in that widget, although I think I have managed a work-around.
I have now blocked Yarr! from all normal members (which should also prevent you seeing the posts from this forum in any list), however if you do want access to Yarr! you can opt-in by going through a simple 3-step process.
Simply click the Preferences button at the top of the page.
Then click Joinable Groups.
Finally click on Yarr!
This should automatically give you access and also make posts visible in automatically generated lists. Its not a perfect solution but it is better than nothing. Unfortunately when you use free solutions (like this forum) you have to accept limitations in customizable options.
If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to email me: kamiza(at)newbreview.com
