I dislike having banned cards, but a strong argument might convince me it is necessary for a tiny # of cards in a particular contructed deck format.

Having new formats for contructed decks (Bring your own Set, Duel Legends, Ordered Monks) is fun and challenging. The best one or two decks will eventually emerge for ANY contructed deck format. When they do just move to another format.

When it comes to competitive play (tournaments), sealed or draft formats are ALWAYS going to be better than constructed. It is the best way for finding out who are the good players (while still having fun).

Any large tournament (especially the largest, ie the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP) should be a combination of all 3 (sealed, draft, and constructed).

Golden Age VS...works only on a casual level with players that generally don't build to win. Sad but true fact.
Yeah, that's got a lot to do with why I'm not really doing much with VS any more.

Now see we had 12 show for Golden Age, and that's the best turn out we've had in a while. It was highly competitive and yet still fun. I know a lot of folks who still enjoy building and playing against the best decks vs can produce.
