Not even close.

Wanted to generate 24 packs and see if people wanted to do a text-draft.

Very cool! Though hopefully you're not looking for any of the new sets 'cause I think they stopped updating it loooong ago.

I was hoping for Crisis, actually. Or Heralds. I think my target overall was "random packs of Vs" so I don't care if the sets are new or old.

Actually I far prefer OCTGN's table interface over MWS, but no one uses it anymore. I used to have an editor that could make sets. I made a few for CoC and the first Teen Titans cartoon CCG.

However, that's totally off topic. I had a look on my drive for the old sets for OCTGN but I don't seem to have them anymore. Sorry!

Maybe someone else will have a quality way to randomize a cardpool for us.

I think it'd be a pretty great opportunity to show people how draft is done - it might take us a while to finish drafting, but you could pick a card, write about it, etc. and then wait to receive your next PM or e-mail with the pack contents.

I'm downloading OCTGN 2.0 to see the improvements. If drafting and the interface is improved as much as I am reading then I will get OCTGN 2.0 up and running for Vs.
later,

Well okie dokie then. OCTGN is no where NEAR as friendly as Magic Workstation when it comes to creating sets...BUT I think I can figure it out.
We will see,

Just need one copy capable of generating packs of cards.

Would there be another way to do it? Like Excel maybe?

EDIT: I don't have full MWS so I wouldn't know, but is it possible to generate packs with a full copy of MWS?

You know I tried my damnest to generate sealed with MWS and got it up to the point where it would generate full packs of a set at a time but wouldn't generate the pictures. I got frustrated one day and left it alone and moved onto another project. I can always go back and try to tackle MWS again, because to be honest generating all new Vs Sets for OCTGN looks like it will be VERY aggrevating.

After the easy time I had designing the MUN OCTGN patch, I'm wondering just how easy is it to design MWS sets? Typing out text is pretty easy, from there it's just getting the images and most of us have photoshop anyways.

Edit: we could always wait for MWS to come out with their own way to draft, which will 'prolly be in the 1.0 release.

Agreed, I never expected anyone to try to remake all the OCTGN sets. Not the favour I was asking at all. I know many people liked the program but for whatever reason I prefer MWS - I know that OCTGN has some excellent features like spectator and limited, but I wasn't calling for a rebirth of OCTGN or anything like that.

KK if you can generate pools on MWS I don't care if you've got pictures or not. We'd all be inputting the cards manually into our deck anyway. Just need 24 random packs, text-wise. If this is successful I wonder if we could text-draft our fan sets, too.
